The First
Family of New Bethel Baptist Church consists of Reverend Dr. Kendall
Dwayne Jones, Sr.; his wife, Mrs. Mae Jones, and their two sons, Kendall
Dwayne, Jr. and Allan Jermaine. Dr. Jones served as
Senior Pastor of two churches, St. Clair Baptist Church in Burtsell,
Arkansas and Second Baptist Church, Kansas City Missouri prior to coming
to New Bethel Baptist Church. He has served as Associate Minister in
several churches, Student Chaplain/Instructor of Sociology at Ouachita
Baptist University and Professor of Preaching at Midwestern Baptist
Theological Seminary.
Dr. Jones received his formal
education in his hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas. He earned the
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pastoral Ministry from Ouachita Baptist
University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas; the Master of Divinity/Christian
Social Ministries Degree in Pastoral Social Work from Southern Baptist Theological
Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky; and the Doctor of Ministry Degree from
Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri.
His past pastoral, civic and political affiliations are numerous. He
is a leader who is a servant. He was born on October 8, 1962, born
again in October 1972 and was called to the ministry on November 3, 1982.
Mrs.
Mae Jones, a native of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, received as Associate Degree
in Accounting from Williams Baptist University in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas
and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business from Ouachita Baptist
University, Arkadelphia. She was married to Dr. Jones in 1985.
She served as City Collector for the City of Gladstone, Missouri prior to
moving to Winston-Salem.
Kendall Dwayne Jr. and
Allan Jermaine, sons of Dr. and Mrs. Jones are both athletic
scholars. Kendall and Allan are college students.
